Poland's Leader Says Only Trump Can Bring Russia to Negotiating Table

(MENAFN) Karol Nawrocki declared Wednesday that Donald Trump alone possesses the capability to halt Vladimir Putin and terminate the Ukraine conflict, calling on Europe to rally behind Washington.

Poland's president told media from London that Trump commands distinctive influence to compel Moscow toward negotiations. Speaking in London to media, Nawrocki said Trump retains the "unique authority and leverage" needed to bring Moscow to the negotiating table.

Among Europe's staunchest Trump supporters, Nawrocki characterized escalating Russian hostility toward Poland as sustained hybrid warfare dating to 2021.

Russian operations have encompassed cyber assaults, propaganda operations, exploiting migration flows through Belarus, and recent violations of Polish airspace, he explained.

Nawrocki described the wave of drones that crossed into Polish territory from Belarus and Ukraine in September as an "extraordinary moment" in NATO's history, saying no alliance member had previously faced an aerial threat of that scale.

"We are living in dangerous times," he said, warning that Russia is actively probing NATO's resolve and testing the alliance's red lines at a time when Europe is distracted and uncertain.

The Polish president condemned European Union nations for drifting from transatlantic partnership while prioritizing climate initiatives, environmental regulations, and immigration overhauls over defense preparedness.

Nawrocki also criticized EU member states for what he described as "detaching" from the United States and focusing on "less important" issues such as climate policy, the Green Deal and migration reform.

He contrasted Europe's policy debates with Poland's military investment approaching 5% of national output—exceeding every NATO partner except America.

When questioned about Trump's recent statements regarding acquiring Greenland from Denmark through peaceful or forceful means, Nawrocki declined direct commentary.

He said the issue should be handled privately between Copenhagen and Washington and expressed confidence it would be resolved through dialogue "inside NATO structures."
